Alcohol. Drugs. Sex. Gambling. Smoking. Cell phones. Pornography. Marijuana (legal or not). Food. These and many other challenges face even those in the Jewish community, despite much of our community’s reluctance to discuss it. When we don’t discuss it, misinformation spreads, and the people who need our help often don’t find out what resources exist until it’s too late. We can, and we must, do better.

Addiction is a disease that enslaves us to our habits, our fears, our substances, and our pain. Recovery is about finding our way through the storms, healing the pain we carry, and finding a community of support that inspires us to discover the best of ourselves everyday, one day at a time. Rates of addiction have skyrocketed in recent years. Why is that, and how can we help the Jewish community, our friends and loved ones, and ourselves embrace the gifts of recovery we all deserve?

Join us for a candid look at addiction in the Jewish community and beyond. A better way of living is possible. Are we brave enough to accept it? (All are welcome, whether Jewish or not. Strict confidentiality will be maintained.)
